Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026
ProfitWatch is built for business users. We collect the information needed to operate the service, protect customer workspaces, calculate account-level profitability, support subscriptions, and respond to customers. We do not sell customer data.

Information we collect

Information you provide may include your login email, company name, recurring-account names, revenue, labor assumptions, wages, payroll burden estimates, supply and direct-cost information, scope changes, notes, monthly actuals, and other operating information you choose to enter.

For billing, ProfitWatch receives subscription status and related customer, subscription, and product identifiers from our billing provider. ProfitWatch does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, operate private company workspaces, calculate account performance, generate reports and recommendations, manage subscription access, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and meet legal or security obligations.

Service providers

ProfitWatch relies on service providers to host and operate the product. These include Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for application hosting and delivery, Lemon Squeezy for subscription checkout and billing, and business communication providers for customer support. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security terms.

Customer workspace separation

ProfitWatch uses authenticated workspaces and database access controls designed to restrict users to data associated with their authorized company workspace. We also limit the amount of business information the product requires; ProfitWatch does not need employee GPS tracking, bank-account access, payroll processing credentials, or workforce scheduling data to provide its core service.

Cookies and local storage

ProfitWatch uses technical browser storage and session information necessary for authentication and application operation. ProfitWatch does not intentionally use advertising trackers or sell information for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Workspace data is generally retained while your account is active so the service can provide historical trends and reports. You may export your workspace data at any time. Workspace owners can also use the self-service account deletion control after canceling any actively renewing subscription. Confirmed deletion removes the active ProfitWatch workspace and login. Limited billing, security, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal records may be retained when necessary, and residual copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backups according to those providers’ backup and retention schedules.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for a small business SaaS product, including authenticated access, database-level row access controls, HTTPS delivery, and restricted handling of billing credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may update information in your workspace, export your workspace data, cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal, and permanently delete your workspace and login once any actively renewing subscription has been canceled. If you need help exercising a privacy request, contact us.

Children

ProfitWatch is a business service and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
